  4. This is a limited version of the plug-in Magnet Tool.
  5. There is a version for both Macintosh and Windows for Adobe Illustrator 7.0.
  6. Put it in the Plug-ins folder that you are using for your Adobe Illustrator 7.0.

  8. Magnet Tool is included in the plug-in package “ILLOM Toolbox 1”
  9. made by ILLOM Development in Sweden.

  11. The Magnet Tool plug-in adds a tool to the tools palette.
  12.  
  13. When using the Magnet Tool, all selected points/handles will be moved towards
  14. the cursor position. The movement is done while you are holding down the mouse button.
  15. The longer you hold it down the longer the points will move.
  16. You can also move the mouse while holding down the mouse button and the points
  17. will move towards the current position of the cursor.

  19. You can change the direction the points/handles are moved by holding down
  20. the alt key on your keyboard. When holding down the alt key the points/handles
  21. will move away from the cursor position instead of towards it.

  23. The full version of this tool included in the “ILLOM Tooldbox 1” package has
  24. settings where you can f.ex. set the speed that the points/handles will move with
  25. and if the magnet effect should be reduced if the point/handle is far from the
  26. cursor instead of close.
